Job Summary:

As an Institutional Credit Management (ICM) Portfolio Officer at Citigroup, you will play a critical role in our First Line of defense for wholesale and counterparty credit risk management.

Key responsibilities include coordinating all aspects of Portfolio Management, including Early Warning Credit Management, Risk Appetite and Limits Management, Portfolio Health, Exceptions Management, and coordinating with other ICM teams, Risk Management, and business partners. You will execute on the monitoring strategies and priorities, as well as contribute to the calibration of alerts, metrics, and indicators for maximum efficacy.

The PM is expected to produce recommendations to the portfolio owners that may include portfolio reviews, stress tests, risk appetite and underwriting criteria recalibrations, reclassification of facilities, risk rating or limits changes among others.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a framework for portfolio risk assessment, including evaluation of credit and financial performance across varied lending products and industry segments.
  2. Understand applicable credit policies, industry regulations, and the requisite impact of those governance items to prospective new partners or product initiatives.
  3. Establish and leverage cross-functional partnerships and network with key internal and external constituencies.
  4. Prepare risk management presentations for senior management that include analytics on expected portfolio performance and areas of potential risk and/or opportunity.
  5. Operate with a limited level of direct supervision and exercise independence of judgment and autonomy.
  6. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
  7. Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
