We are seeking an exceptional Medical Director to lead our Adolescent Eating Disorder Services at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. This is a permanent full-time position based at Serenity Path Hospital in Winchester.

Job Description
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the management of adolescent eating disorders, ensuring high-quality care and excellent patient outcomes.
  • This role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based treatments, improving patient experience and reducing waiting times.
  • You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other services within the trust to ensure seamless care pathways for our patients.
About the Role

As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing medical leadership and expertise in the development and implementation of services for adolescents with eating disorders.
  • Working closely with the Clinical Lead and other stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of services and achievement of quality targets.
  • Maintaining relationships with key partners, including CAMHS, community services, and external agencies to promote collaboration and improve patient outcomes.
Person Specification

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in adolescent psychiatry, preferably with experience in eating disorder services.
  • Excellent clinical skills, including the ability to assess and manage complex cases.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, patients, and families.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £104,917 per annum, which includes a premium of 30% for working as a Consultant Psychiatrist. You will also receive a range of benefits, including a contributory pension scheme, annual leave, and opportunities for continuing professional development.
