At the East of England Ambulance Service, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Incident Command Supervisor. This position is crucial in leading a team of clinicians, Team Leaders, and other support staff within a defined geographical area to provide safe, effective, caring, and responsive services as part of a wider integrated Urgent and Emergency Care System.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the general day-to-day running of the locality in conjunction with the Local Area Manager and Team Leaders, with a particular focus on staff welfare, operational productivity, and efficiency, and best utilization of available operational resources.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of clinicians, Team Leaders, and other support staff within a defined geographical area.
  • Supporting the general day-to-day running of the locality in conjunction with the Local Area Manager and Team Leaders.
  • Ensuring staff welfare, operational productivity, and efficiency, and best utilization of available operational resources.

Requirements:

  • HCPC Registered Paramedic or equivalent Nurse/Allied Health Professions registered with a relevant governing body.
  • Managerial qualification or equivalent experience, demonstrable experience of working in a supervisory role, or above.
  • A full UK manual driving licence with C1 category with no more than 3 penalty points.

Desirable Criteria:

  • NARU Operational Commander Course acquired within 12 months.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication with the ability to adapt styles and messages to match the situation and audiences.
  • Ability to assess situations and make decisions quickly and confidently.

Experience:

  • Mentoring and clinical supervision experience.
  • Experience of working in highly pressured situations while remaining calm and effective.
  • Experience of managing a team.
