Job Description
Burton Albion Football Club is seeking a highly skilled Chief Communications Officer to oversee all aspects of the Club's media relations and communications strategy. About Us
The EFL League One club, Burton Albion FC, is embarking on an exciting new chapter under the dynamic leadership of the new owners, the Nordic Football Group. As part of this transformative journey, we are looking for a seasoned professional to lead our communications efforts and help us achieve our ambitious goals.

Your Role
As Chief Communications Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective PR and communications strategies to raise awareness and improve the reputation of the Club in local, national, and international markets. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to champion the Club's aims and protect its reputation.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive communications plans to achieve the Club's goals and objectives
- Manage an ongoing communications calendar for player appearances and commercial obligations
- Provide senior-level consultancy to players/management with regards to all media work
- Oversee media and broadcast relations at the Club, seeking opportunities to tell Burton Albion's story on a national scale
- Develop and manage strong relationships with key personnel at the EFL, and broadcast partners, rightsholders and non-rightsholders
- Lead and manage the Communications and Marketing team for the Men's team, Women's team, and the academy, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and professional growth
