Firmware and Test Development Specialist

Kidde Global Solutions is committed to creating innovative solutions for people's safety and well-being. We are currently seeking a Firmware and Test Development Specialist to join our engineering team in Herne Bay, Kent.
About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing firmware and test software for our products, working closely with our engineering team to ensure high-quality delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firmware development, with a focus on test automation and product innovation. You will also have excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
This is a full-time position with a salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per year, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities- Specifying and implementing test interfaces on new embedded projects
- Developing and implementing unit test frameworks
- Designing and implementing firmware for new product development
- Strong knowledge of C/C++ and Python programming languages
- Experience with firmware development and test automation
- Good understanding of standard lab test equipment
