Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Specialist to join our team at FedEx. As a key member of our maintenance operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance activities on our Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and Facilities in the Stansted area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Material Handling Equipment Maintenance across the site (outsourced)
  • Coordinate Building Maintenance works and statutory compliance (outsourced)
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize maintenance needs
  • Monitor and analyze maintenance metrics to optimize resource allocation and improve overall efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external contractors and vendors
  • Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance personnel
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure maintenance activities are being performed in accordance with company standards

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in maintenance operations, preferably in a logistics or transportation industry
  • Strong understanding of Material Handling Equipment and Building Facilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
