About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Health and Wellbeing Support Worker to join our team at Change Grow Live. As a key member of our Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service, you will provide psychosocial support to individuals within the prison estate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver psychosocial interventions as part of our Integrated Health and Wellbeing model
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and prison stakeholders to ensure effective coordination of service user treatment
  • Contribute to risk management processes, including prison ACCT processes
  • Support the induction process for new reception prisoners
  • Assist service users in completing in-cell workbooks
  • Co-facilitate group interventions, such as Foundations of Rehabilitation and SMART Recovery
About You
  • You will have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience working in a similar field, ideally within the prison or criminal justice sector
  • You will be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with good IT skills
  • You will be proactive and able to work independently, with excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • You will have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and best practices
  • You will be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and stakeholders
