Taylor Root is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel - Employment to join its top-tier employment practice, providing expert advice on complex employment matters.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical grounding in employment law, with litigation experience and a commercial awareness of the impact of their decisions on clients.

This role offers the chance to work closely with regulatory teams, managing employment tribunal claims and High Court actions, and supporting investigations for both corporate clients and senior individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing employment advice on corporate transactions, including due diligence and contract negotiations with estimated salary £80,000-£110,000 per annum.
  • Collaborating with regulatory teams on SMCR-related misconduct and advising on redundancies, restructurings, and senior-level exits.
  • Supporting investigations for both corporate clients and senior individuals with strong academic background and ability to draft contracts and agreements.
  • Managing employment tribunal claims and High Court actions with commercial awareness and client-focused approach.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and other lawyers.

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor with NQ–3 years' PQE and strong technical grounding in employment law.
  • Commercial awareness and client-focused approach with ability to draft contracts and agreements.
  • Strong academic background and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
