Senior Structural Engineer

At Penguin Recruitment, we are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing a variety of projects and managing a team of graduate engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage projects across sectors such as residential, commercial, public, educational, and temporary works design, from concept to completion.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with clients and architects, actively participating in project proposals and fee negotiations.
  • Assess contractor tender submissions and provide insightful recommendations to clients.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of graduate engineers, technicians, and other project participants.
  • Facilitate technical training sessions for graduate engineers and placement students.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with design codes, particularly Eurocode.
  • Strong conceptual design skills with the ability to work in 3D.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects independently and effectively.
