Job Title: People Business Partner

Spire Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled People Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our HR function, you will play a critical role in supporting the Outer London Hub, driving business outcomes, and delivering exceptional employee experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in project activity for both the People team and wider business projects, providing generalist HR insight and leading People workstreams.
  • Drive and facilitate continuous improvement to our colleague experience, working with hospital HR teams and the People Centres of Expertise to deliver a consistent, high-quality employee lifecycle journey.
  • Support hospital HR teams in developing actionable employee engagement plans, working with senior leaders to facilitate challenge and ensure momentum.
  • Oversee all employee relations cases in the hub, acting as a point of escalation for complex cases and leading as required.
  • Understand and anticipate the need for change, diagnose underlying issues, and build the case for change with stakeholders and support change management activities.
  • Help upskill HR Advisors and line managers in managing investigations and employee relations matters, providing coaching and guidance as needed.
  • Develop a People plan for the hub, maximizing workforce opportunities and addressing challenges such as retention, future skills, and flexible workforce management.
  • Work with Resourcing Partners to proactively plan and deliver workforce requirements.
  • Conduct regular talent and succession exercises for the Hub, ensuring succession plans are in place and acted on for all required roles.
  • Support the Hospital Director with all aspects of line management, including recruitment, performance management, and wellbeing.
Requirements:
  • Possess a thorough understanding of generalist People practices and ideally qualified to CIPD Level 7 or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of managing complex employee relations casework and knowledge of UK employment law and best practice.
  • Demonstrable experience of effectively leading and embedding change initiatives, including managing resistance.
  • Experience of coaching and developing others, with a focus on building a high-performing team.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
