About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Culinary Assistant to join our dynamic kitchen team at the London Croydon Aerodrome Hotel, Signature Collection Hotel by Best Western. As a key member of our culinary team, you will assist with food preparation work and basic cooking under the guidance of our experienced Chef de Parties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation, including meal planning, ingredient ordering, and food storage.
  • Support the Chef de Parties in the kitchen, learning new skills and techniques.
  • Rotate through sections such as sauce, vegetables, fish, and butchery, gaining experience and knowledge.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in a hotel setting.
  • A passion for cooking and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant culinary qualifications are preferred but not essential.
