Job Title – Production MCR Operator

Job Summary

Al-Khair Foundation, a leading faith-based UK charity, seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Coordinator to support our production team in Whitechapel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of our production processes, from studio support to outdoor production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Studio Support:
  • Manage all technical aspects of the production process required for high-quality on-screen programs.
  • Manage the MCR for live programs and shows/recordings.
  • Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio gear.
  • Coordinate with the technical team to ensure all equipment is functioning properly before broadcasts.
  • Help with the arrangement of sets, props, and other on-set materials.
  • Manage the studio space, ensuring it is organized and that safety protocols are followed.
  • Support the production crew during live broadcasts and recordings by managing scripts, cue cards, and other materials.
  • Assist talent and guests with preparations, including wardrobe and microphone setups.

Outdoor Production Support:

  • Assist in the transportation and setup of equipment for outdoor shoots, including location scouting, camera setup, and lighting.
  • Help coordinate with local authorities and locations for necessary permissions and logistics.
  • Provide on-site support during shoots, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and on schedule.
  • Assist in managing extras, crowd control, and the general public during outdoor filming.
  • Coordinate with the production team to adapt to changing conditions, such as weather or location issues.
  • Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail during on-location shoots.

General Production Duties:

  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, call sheets, and production logs.
  • Assist in post-production tasks, including logging footage, and helping with basic editing tasks as needed.
  • Support the production team in maintaining an inventory of production supplies and equipment.
  • Liaise with various departments, including editorial, technical, and creative teams, to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
  • Take initiative to solve production-related issues and provide support wherever needed.
  • To perform any other reasonable task required for the effective running of the production.
  • To comply with all policies, procedures, legal and regulatory requirements.
  • To hold a valid passport and be willing and able to travel extensively and at short notice.

Requirements:

  • Production Assistance and Quality Control skills.
  • Customer Service and Teamwork abilities.
  • Editing skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in a similar production or nonprofit environment is a plus.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a studio environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in production and programming, Tricastor and audio panel.
