About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team at Davies Technology Solutions. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Development: Develop high-quality software using modern software development practices and techniques, ensuring efficient and unit-testable code.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with lead developers, project teams, and stakeholders to plan upcoming work, solution architecture, and design.
  • Quality Assurance: Help enforce quality standards through peer reviews and team retrospectives, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Communication: Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members to shape and deliver required functionality.
  • Project Management: Manage tasks effectively, accurately estimate, track, and report on the status of your work, raising any issues encountered.
  • Team Leadership: Provide support and mentorship to mid/junior developers within the team, fostering a positive team working culture.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in.NET Framework (C# and Visual Basic), ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC, and Web Api, RESTful APIs, Microsoft SQL Server/T-SQL, Windows Server/IIS, GIT Source Control, and experience with ORM (Entity Framework, NHibernate, Dapper).
  • Development Experience: Several years of commercial experience in C#, with a strong understanding of unit testing frameworks (Cypress, NUnit, XUnit, Moq) and knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Desirable Skills: Experience with Azure DevOps, working in an agile environment using SCRUM, and knowledge of IdentityServer.
