Role Overview

The Senior Backend Developer role is a critical position within Davies Technology Solutions, responsible for driving the development and implementation of high-quality software solutions. As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, product owners, and other developers, to ensure seamless delivery of projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including user manuals, API documentation, and technical guides.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and new tools, applying this knowledge to improve our software development processes.

Requirements

  • Strong background in.NET Framework, C#, and Visual Basic.
  • Experience with ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC, and Web API.
  • Proficiency in RESTful APIs, HTTP Status Codes, CORS, JSON, and JWT.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, Windows Server, and IIS.
  • Experience with GIT source control and unit testing frameworks (Cypress, NUnit, XUnit, Moq).
  • Understanding of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Azure DevOps and experience working in agile environments using SCRUM are desirable.
