Chemistry Research Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Laboratory Technician to join our Chemistry Research team at the University of Cambridge. The successful candidate will provide technical support to our research groups, ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to research groups, including laboratory waste management, equipment setup and maintenance, and training on laboratory equipment.
- Act as a central point of contact for staff and research personnel, providing organizational and administrative support as needed.
- Deputize for the Senior Research Laboratory Technician in their absence.
- Develop and maintain a high level of technical expertise, staying up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and equipment.
- Qualification to HNC level or equivalent in Chemistry or Physical Sciences, or relevant experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
