We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Laboratory Technician to join our team at the Department of Chemistry. The successful candidate will provide technical support to our research groups, ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to research groups, including laboratory waste management, equipment setup and maintenance, and training on laboratory equipment.
- Act as a central point of contact for staff and research personnel, providing organizational and administrative support as needed.
- Deputize for the Senior Research Laboratory Technician in their absence.
- Develop and maintain a high level of technical expertise in laboratory procedures and equipment.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in Chemistry or Physical Sciences, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations. They will be educated to HNC level or equivalent, and have relevant experience in a laboratory setting. If a trainee, they will be educated to A level standard and have a strong desire to learn and develop their skills.
