About Us:

Budwood, a leading provider of residential care and support services, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team in Bournemouth. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young adults with emotional behavioral difficulties and social and emotional mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support and care to children and young adults, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a small team to provide flexible and individualized care packages.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive living environment, promoting the welfare and protection of young people.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people, particularly those with emotional behavioral difficulties and social and emotional mental health needs.
  • Flexibility to work a range of hours, including casual shifts and sleep-ins.
  • Ability to work as part of a small team, providing individualized support and care.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with young people and their families.
  • Hold a relevant qualification in residential childcare or a related field, or be willing to work towards a required qualification.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car, as this role will involve traveling.
