Strategic Participation Coordinator

At Semester, we're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Graduate Leadership Team Coordinator to lead our participation efforts within the Children and Young People's Directorate. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering the outcomes of our Participation Strategy and supporting children to learn self-expression, empowerment, and have a real influence on the services they receive.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and coordinate the current participation activity within the service, involving children and young people directorate.
- Implement Mind of My Own within the service, ensuring effective involvement and influence of children in care and care leavers in the corporate parenting committee.
- Provide meaningful feedback to children in care and care leavers on the outcomes of consultations and other activities.
- Drive the recruitment and support of the Young Ambassadors activity.
The ideal candidate will be a graduate with strong proven experience in working in a leadership role in Children's Services, possessing key skills in improving service quality, delivering an effective quality assurance framework, and experience in project management. They should be able to confidently write complex reports and policy documents.
