Job Description
As a Care Assistant with Home Instead St Albans, you will be working with clients in a variety of settings, assisting with daily tasks such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and personal care.
Responsibilities:
- Assistance with morning and evening routines, helping clients get ready for the day or unwind in the evening.
- Assisting with dressing and grooming, ensuring clients look and feel their best.
- Preparing nourishing meals and snacks, including breakfast and dinner, to meet clients' dietary needs.
- Light housekeeping, keeping clients' living spaces tidy and organized.
- Friendly chats, engaging in conversations and sharing stories with clients.
- Assisting with medication, ensuring clients receive their prescribed medication as needed.
Requirements:
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle, as you will be required to travel between clients' homes.
- A compassionate and caring nature, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rates, ranging from £13.75-£14.75ph.
- No previous experience required, as comprehensive training and support will be provided.
- Mileage allowance of 45p per mile, as well as paid travel time between clients.
- An additional 50p an hour for those with NVQ level 2 in H&SC.
- Double pay on bank holidays, providing a well-deserved break.
- Minimum one-hour visits, allowing for quality time with clients.
- Ongoing training and development opportunities, ensuring you stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
- A supportive and friendly office team, providing a welcoming environment.
