Job Description
We are seeking a Legal Counsel Regulatory Compliance for a full-time position based at England Golf Headquarters in Lincolnshire. The role involves providing expert legal counsel across the organisation, ensuring highest standards of compliance are upheld. This includes providing a wide variety of counsel on corporate governance, safeguarding, disciplinary, and appeals, as well as legal and commercial contracts, policy development, and advice to affiliated golf clubs and county bodies. The post requires the ability to research and provide advice on areas of law outside your specialism, supported by the team. Travel may be required for the delivery of the role. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement following a 6-week onboarding process.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide expert legal counsel across the organisation, ensuring highest standards of compliance are upheld
• Work with a wide variety of stakeholders, including affiliated golf clubs and county bodies, to provide advice and guidance on legal matters
• Conduct research and provide advice on areas of law outside your specialism, supported by the team
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective governance and compliance across the organisation

Requirements
A legal qualification (0-4 years PQE) and a wide understanding of English law and the legal system are essential. Strong communication skills, integrity, discretion, and trust are required. You will also need an understanding of employment law, commercial law, disciplinary, compliance, or regulatory frameworks, equality act, litigation, and be comfortable researching and providing advice on areas of law outside your specialism, supported by the team.
