Educational Support Specialist

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a reputable primary school in Didcot as an educational support specialist. As a key member of the teaching team, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery. Your primary responsibility will be to provide general classroom support, including assisting with numeracy and literacy tasks, and engaging children in extra-curricular activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher with lesson planning and delivery
- Assist with numeracy and literacy tasks for children
- Engage children in extra-curricular activities
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have a degree-level qualification, ideally in education or a related field. A strong academic background and a 2:2 or above are required. The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years' experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar role.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position is £83-£90 per day. This is a full-time contract that runs for the entire academic year. You will also receive a one-year contract.
