Caring Community Support Specialist

Turning Point is a leading provider of care services for individuals with Learning Disabilities. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team in River, Dover.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have experience working in a Learning Disability setting, ideally with a strong focus on person-centered support. As a Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for supervising Support Workers, ensuring new staff receive comprehensive induction, and running shifts as the senior person on duty. This role requires excellent communication skills, flexibility, and patience to provide high-quality support to individuals with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support individuals with daily activities, including personal care and medication management
- Monitor and record medication, handle finances and petty cash
- Model good practice within the team to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement personalized support plans
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience in a Learning Disability setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills, including word processing and email
What We Offer
- Competitive salary: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum
- 29 days' paid holiday (increasing to 31 days after one year's service)
