About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Support Specialist to join our Supported Employment Team at Discovery.

As an Employment Support Specialist, you will work closely with individuals with learning disabilities and/or Autism to identify and achieve their employment goals.

Your main duties will include:

  • Providing job coaching and support to individuals in finding and maintaining paid employment.
  • Working with employers to identify job opportunities and develop strategies to ensure sustained employment.
  • Understanding each person's interests, preferences, abilities, and support needs to facilitate and coordinate the person-centred employment planning process.
  • Managing a caseload and completing timely reviews to ensure the pathway to employment is successful.

About You

The successful applicant will have:

  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
  • The ability to problem-solve and make decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a team but also on your own initiative.
