About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Youth Protection Professional to join our team in Referral & Assessment service. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the wellbeing and interests of the child/young person at all times.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Promote and safeguard the wellbeing and interests of the child/young person at all times.
  2. Manage an independent workload, ensuring legislative requirements are met to a high standard.
  3. Assess, critically analyse, plan and implement suitable interventions for complex cases that fulfill statutory regulations.
  4. Produce concise, well-structured assessments, plans and reports.
  5. Maintain accurate, up-to-date, evidence-based records safely and confidentially.
Person Specification
  • Professional Social Work Degree or equivalent
  • Demonstrable post-qualifying experience as a social worker working with children and families
  • Social Work England registered
  • Knowledge of the legal framework and assessment process in Children's Social Care
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a range of audiences
  • Knowledge of social work interventions in at least one area of practice
  • Ability to manage and prioritize own workload
  • Acceptance of the principles of human rights and equality
  • Understands and has experience of the statutory framework underpinning social work
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Some experience in using electronic case management skills
  • Current UK driving license and access to a vehicle
