Safeguarding Specialist Role

We are seeking a permanent Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team.

This position comes with a salary of up to £42,839 per annum.

About the Job:

This role involves assessing and providing support to individuals with complex needs, adhering to relevant laws, policies, and guidelines.

You will assess family functioning and provide help when relationship breakdown threatens the well-being of children at risk of abuse or neglect.

Key Responsibilities include conducting assessments and developing plans to safeguard children from abuse, neglect, or exploitation, building effective relationships with individuals involved.

Apart from arranging alternative care arrangements when necessary, you will work with children, young people, and their parents/carers to promote autonomy and development with individuals who have complex social needs.

Maintaining accurate and high-quality records of case activity and participating in planning forums is also a crucial aspect of this role.

As a Practice Educator or Assessor, you will work with social work students or newly qualified social workers.

This role requires managing a caseload of complex cases and providing guidance, support, and expert advice to social care staff, students, and newly qualified social workers.

The ideal candidate will work with communities, families, and individuals to maximize their strengths, social networks, and resources.

Requirements:
  • Social Work Qualification or equivalent
  • Continual professional development
  • Social Work England registration
