GSE is seeking a diligent and highly-organised individual to oversee homestay provision for international students. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, training and managing host families, ensuring a safe and culturally enriching experience for students.

Job Overview

We are Global School Exchanges Ltd., a company dedicated to enabling meaningful cultural exchange and learning between young people. Our mission is to develop the Global Citizens of the future through our School Exchange Programme between Chinese, French, Indian and British schools.

The programme involves overseas students living with local families in the UK for 1-3 weeks, participating in activities, tours and visits. As Homestay Programme Manager, you will play a crucial role in making this experience a success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, vet and onboard host families in line with safeguarding compliance requirements.
  • Manage host family contracts, ensuring compliance with policies, legal requirements and child safeguarding practices.
  • Process Enhanced DBS checks promptly, ensuring relevant documentation is provided by hosts.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong knowledge of child safeguarding legislation and protocols.
  • Experience in managing homestay or accommodation programmes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position, requiring 30-40 hours per week during peak operating times. You will work from home, with occasional home visits around Hampshire.

Salary and Benefits

You can expect a salary of £28,000 per annum, based on a 40 hour working week. We also offer a bonus scheme and a competitive benefits package.
