**Job Description**

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Management Specialist to join our team. As a Senior Environmental Advisor, you will play a critical role in implementing our policies and strategies to ensure legislative compliance and promote continuous improvement in environmental management.

This varied role requires regular travel and will provide opportunities for growth and development. You will lead the environmental agenda for the organization, providing specialist advice, coaching, and engagement to support the business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, improve, and develop environmental management systems processes and procedures.
  • Liaise with external parties and regulators, such as the Environmental Agency.
  • Oversee all environmental data, in line with internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Develop meaningful strategies to promote a positive step change in all aspects of environmental management and behaviors.
  • Support our net zero ambition for our business and customers.
  • Provide specialist advice on business environmental aspects and impacts, e.g., waste, water management, permits, and licenses.
  • Support environmental internal and external audits.
  • Assist in significant environmental incident investigations.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, building, and improving environmental management systems in line with ISO 14001.

 

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Exceptional knowledge of environmental legislation and applied controls.
  • Experience in providing environmental advice in both office and field workforce environments.
  • Courage and confidence to challenge issues and behaviors.
  • The ability to convey complex information in simple, effective language.
