Mental Health Practitioner - Complex Care Services

Job Summary:

Cambian Group Plc, a leading provider of specialist services, is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will work with young people displaying social, emotional, behavioural, and mental health difficulties in our complex care community residential services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and identify the needs of young people and staff through consultation, training, and reflective practice.
  • Embed a trauma-informed approach to support the well-being of young people.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a comprehensive support network.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of care.

Requirements:

  • Registered with the relevant professional organisation (HCPC, NMC, BACP).
  • A higher-level qualification in a relevant subject such as counselling, therapeutic support, psychotherapy, Social Work, or Nursing.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable young people in a therapeutic or counselling setting.
  • An understanding of social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
  • An understanding of the complex and multiple needs of vulnerable young people in both the school and home environment.
  • Ability to assess and mitigate risk of young people.
  • Passionate about working with vulnerable at-risk young people.
  • A willingness to undertake all training relevant to the role.
  • A full clean driving licence.
