We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work with children in Reception to Year 1 at Aspire People in Loughborough. The primary school is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for all students, fostering a love of learning and ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tailored Teaching: Deliver high-quality teaching to children with Special Educational Needs.
  • Individual Education Plans (IEPs): Create and implement IEPs to support each child's learning and development.
  • Inclusive Practices: Collaborate with parents, staff, and external professionals to promote inclusive practices.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Classroom Environment: Foster a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages confidence and independence.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold QTS with a focus on Special Educational Needs.
  • Primary Experience: Solid experience working with children in primary education, particularly in Reception and Year 1.
  • SEN Understanding: Strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and relevant teaching strategies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
  • Patient Approach: A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine passion for helping children with additional needs thrive.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum based on experience.
  • Long-term Contract: Long-term contract with the option of extending or 'as and when'.
  • School Community: Opportunity to work in a school with a strong community presence.
  • DBS Check: Willing to undertake a DBS through Aspire People or be on the update service.
  • Referral Fee: Unlock up to £250 referral fee for each recommendation to Aspire People.
