**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced Arrears Recovery Coordinator to join our client, a prominent housing association in Yorkshire. As a key member of the Income and Specialist Housing Team, you will play a vital role in maximising income for the organisation while supporting customers to sustain their tenancies.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  1. Arrears Recovery: Collaborate with the team to recover arrears, ensuring that tenants receive the necessary support to manage their finances and avoid debt.
  2. Customer Support: Work closely with tenants to assess their financial situation, providing pre-tenancy assessments and supporting early interventions to prevent arrears.
  3. Welfare Benefits Knowledge: Advise tenants on available benefits and support them in accessing welfare benefits to maximise their income and sustain their tenancy.
  4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and other stakeholders to deliver effective solutions for tenants facing financial difficulties.
  5. Debt Management: Develop and implement effective debt management plans to help tenants overcome financial challenges.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  1. Experience: Demonstrable experience in a similar role, specifically in arrears recovery and providing a customer-focused service.
  2. Knowledge: Strong knowledge of welfare benefits, income recovery strategies, and best practices in housing management.
  3. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and support tenants in financial hardship.
  4. Teamwork: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  5. Customer-Centered: A genuine passion for providing high-quality service to tenants and helping them sustain their tenancies.
