Payment Strategy Specialist

We're looking for a highly skilled Payment Strategy Specialist to join our team at Intermountain Healthcare. This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to adhere to commercial and government requirements for emerging payment techniques and various payor portal access requirements.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in commercial payor requirements and mechanisms for alternative payment methods. They'll be accountable for understanding and communicating related commercial and regulatory programs payment techniques and portal access requirements.
This position requires monitoring and leading implementation of vendor updates around portal usage requirements. The successful candidate will also support leadership in coordinating with clearinghouse vendors and work to obtain electronic payments where clearinghouse contracts are not in place.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements strategies for adhering to commercial and government requirements for emerging payment techniques and various payor portal access requirements.
- Serves as a subject matter expert for commercial payor requirements and mechanisms for alternative payment methods.
- Monitors and leads implementation of vendor updates around portal usage requirements.
- Supports leadership in coordinating with clearinghouse vendors and works to obtain electronic payments where clearinghouse contracts are not in place.
- Creates and provides monitoring and trending reports to the Cash Management Leadership teams.
- Meets department's productivity and quality goals in a high-volume processing environment.
- Promotes mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Healthcare, and abides by service behavior standards.
- Ability to produce data in a spreadsheet, pivot table, graph, slide show or other communication tool that can be easily understood.
- Data analysis to identify patterns and trends to improve the targeted activity and outcome.
