About the Role

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Victoria Lodge, a vibrant and busy centre providing support for adults with a Learning Disability and Older Peoples. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering service users to maintain their independence, skills, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Report to the Senior Support Workers and Team Leader to ensure the day service is working towards its vision.
• Work within a team to work towards service user outcomes, building on their existing skills and abilities whilst respecting individual needs and choices.
• Support and, on occasions, deliver sessions in line with the session plan, this may be in the building and in the community.
• Complete personal care and administer medication, as required.
• Use IT to update documents such as support plans, risk assessments, and have a good working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and assessments of capacity.
