About the Role

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Victoria Lodge, a vibrant and busy centre providing support for adults with a Learning Disability and Older Peoples. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering service users to maintain their independence, skills, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Work within a team to support service users in achieving their goals and outcomes
• Provide personal care and administer medication as required
• Support and deliver sessions in line with the session plan, both in the building and in the community
• Use IT to update documents such as support plans and risk assessments
• Have a good working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and assessments of capacity

About You

We are looking for someone who is committed to delivering an excellent service for adults with disabilities and older people. You will need to have a proficient level of written and spoken English for the purposes of case recording and to enable you to work towards a qualification in Health and Social Care if you do not already hold this qualification. Previous experience of supporting a person with a disability is not essential as training will be provided for the right candidate. We offer excellent training and development opportunities, so more important is the commitment to completing training and qualifications and learning new skills whilst working alongside a supportive team.
