Job Title: Administration and Clerical Officer

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administration and Clerical Officer to join our team at the NHS. As a key member of our department, you will provide administrative support to our clinical team, ensuring the smooth operation of our services.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing administrative support to our clinical team, including booking and managing patient appointments, maintaining medical records, and processing clinic letters.
  • Working closely with our medical team to ensure the efficient running of our department, including managing access and booking standards.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, including patient documentation and medical records.
  • Undertaking clerical duties, including filing and data entry.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic IT literacy and experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Person Specification
  • Educated to GCSE level, with at least 5 at grade C or above NVQ level 3 in a relevant subject, or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • RTT and medical terminologies exposure.
Experience/Skills
  • Basic IT literacy.
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines.
  • Filing techniques.
  • 18 week RTT and Cerner training.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in the use of a Patient Administration System or other relevant healthcare information systems.
  • Experience in the use of all programmes within the Microsoft Office suite.
