Academic Program Lead

A dedicated and passionate Teaching and Learning Specialist is sought to lead a pre-internship programme at one of our esteemed partner schools in the Leeds area.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing employability skills in learners with EHCPs, preparing them for a successful transition into Supported Internships after one year. This enriching opportunity involves teaching on Tuesdays and Fridays, with the flexibility to adapt to the needs of the students.
We are committed to providing a supportive environment that fosters growth, independence, and confidence in our students.
Main Responsibilities:- Design and Implement Engaging Lesson Plans: Create tailored lesson plans to cater to the unique needs of learners with EHCPs, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning experience.
- Develop Strong Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and school staff to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
- Monitor Student Progress: Regularly monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with Colleagues: Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and expertise to enhance the learning experience.
- Strong educational background and relevant teaching qualifications.
- Proven experience working with learners with EHCPs or similar special needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
