Medical Consultant Ophthalmologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Retina Consultant Ophthalmologist to join our team at SpaMedica. As the UK's largest cataract surgery provider, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and outcomes.
About the RoleAs a Medical Retina Consultant Ophthalmologist, you will be responsible for leading our clinical team working across our IVI services and acting as an advisor to our Medical Retina Service Lead. You will have access to a team of Hospital Optometrists, Nurses, and Doctors to deliver a world-class service with high levels of patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in training in-house team of registered nurses, optometrists, and ophthalmic nurse practitioners to review and inject.
- Develop and deliver an education program for hospital and community optometrists.
- Take part in our on-call rota (1 in 6).
- Work collaboratively with our Medical Retina Service Lead and team.
- Ability and desire to travel to support development and training of nurse and optometrist injectors and reviewers.
