Payroll Team Leader

Pursue a challenging and rewarding career as a Payroll Assistant Manager with i2i Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting the Payroll Manager in the daily management of the payroll team.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in payroll administration, including reviewing payrolls before submission to clients, providing technical support to both the team and clients on payroll-related matters, and assisting with training new and current team members.
We are looking for an experienced and proactive individual who can help lead the team and provide support to the Senior Manager and Director. If you have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the PAYE system, experience in running multiple payrolls, processing pensions, and employee expenses, and previous supervisory/management experience, then we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Payroll Manager with the daily management of the payroll team.
* Review payrolls before submission to clients.
* Provide technical support to both the team and clients on payroll-related matters.
* Assist with training new and current team members, and meeting regularly with the team for one-to-ones.
* Develop and refine payroll procedures.
* Proactively keep up to date with payroll legislation and compliance – ensuring the team is fully informed.
Requirements:
* Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the PAYE system.
* Experienced in running multiple payrolls, processing pensions, and employee expenses.
* Previous supervisory/management experience.
