Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Analyst to join our team at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support for the analysis, design, estimates, development, documentation, testing, and implementation of new computer programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in analysis, design, estimates, development, documentation, testing, and implementation of new Web Applications.
  • Provide maintenance and support for programs within existing systems.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to the department.
  • Develop and implement software solutions using .Net web application development using ASP, C#, VB, PL/SQL, CSS, AJAX, and other JavaScript Frameworks like JQuery and HTML5 .NET Framework, MVC, Razor Statistical analysis.
  • Experience in Web Development technologies: XML, JSON, Web Services.
  • Knowledge of Team Foundation Server, IIS, Windows Services, Task Schedulers.
  • Knowledge of Agile Development Methodologies and frameworks such as SCRUM.
  • Ability to interface effectively with users and administrative personnel.
  • Functions as both the business analyst and technical resource on projects.
  • Experience managing vendor software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and client-facing roles which encompass all phases of the SDLC.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math or a related field and six (6) years of related experience required. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.

Salary Range - $57,940 - $94,150
