Senior Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in general orthopaedic trauma and all aspects of hip surgery.
Main Duties
The successful candidate will have a job plan comprising both fixed clinical and flexible theatre sessions agreed in advance. They will work closely with our existing substantive Consultants to provide a high-quality service at the Trust.

- Provide high-quality care to patients with complex orthopaedic trauma and hip surgery needs
- Work closely with colleagues to develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Contribute to the development of our Trauma and Orthopaedic services
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry
- FRCS Tr& Orth or equivalent qualification
- Higher Trauma and Orthopaedic training
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Postgraduate degree related to Orthopaedics
- Fellowship training in Hip Surgery
- Trauma Fellowship
Previous Experience
- Broad range of experience in Trauma and Orthopaedics
- Proficient in management and treatment of complex peri-prosthetic hip trauma
- Experience of supervising undergraduates, doctors in training and other colleagues
