Orthopaedic Surgeon with Specialist Interest in Hip Surgery

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in general orthopaedic trauma and hip surgery, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert diagnostic and treatment services for patients with complex orthopaedic trauma and hip surgery needs.
- Work closely with colleagues to develop and implement effective treatment plans and protocols.
- Contribute to the development of our Trauma and Orthopaedic services, including the expansion of hip surgery services.
- Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).
- FRCS Tr& Orth or equivalent qualification.
- Higher Trauma and Orthopaedic training.
- Experience in managing and treating complex peri-prosthetic hip trauma.
- Ability to offer and be accountable for full and independent expert diagnostic opinion.
- Demonstrable experience and active participation in research and development.
