Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Bereavement Listening Service Lead to join our team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.

As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for coordinating and developing our Bereavement Listening Service, providing support to adults who have been bereaved of someone with a life-limiting condition or anticipating bereavement.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in counseling or psychotherapy, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage complex situations and emotions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and developing the Bereavement Listening Service in Buckinghamshire
  • Providing support to adults who have been bereaved of someone with a life-limiting condition or anticipating bereavement
  • Managing a team of volunteers and staff, ensuring they receive training and supervision
  • Collaborating with local health organizations and community groups to enhance the service
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including charities and healthcare providers

Person Specification

  • Qualification in counseling or psychotherapy at Diploma or Master level
  • BACP accreditation or equivalent
  • Training in supervision/other relevant training
  • At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in a healthcare setting
  • Experience working therapeutically with complex individuals
  • Experience working with the bereaved and assessing bereavement needs
  • Car owner/driver and enhanced DBS clearance

Salary

£40,000 - £55,000 per annum
