About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Protection Social Worker to join our team at Randstad. As a key member of our Child Protection team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in Darlington.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of children and families, providing support and guidance to ensure their welfare is promoted.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop effective plans to address the needs of children and families.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including healthcare providers, educators, and community organizations, to ensure a comprehensive approach to child protection.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to families, helping them to navigate complex systems and access necessary resources.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and policy developments in child protection, applying this knowledge to inform your work.
Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker with a strong background in child protection.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of emotional intelligence and resilience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, policies, and procedures, including the Children Act and the Care Act.
