Role Overview

Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified social worker to join our team in Bolton, Manchester. This 6-month contract offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the lives of vulnerable children and families. Your primary responsibility will be working closely with children and families to assess their needs and risks, developing and implementing support plans to safeguard children and promote their welfare.

About the Role
In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to coordinate services with other agencies and attend court hearings and legal proceedings as required. You will also be responsible for providing advice and guidance to families and carers, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, and undertaking assessments of children and families to determine their needs and risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement support plans to safeguard children and promote their welfare
  • Work with other agencies to coordinate services and ensure a multi-agency approach
  • Attend court hearings and other legal proceedings
  • Provide advice and guidance to families and carers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records

Essential Requirements:
  • Degree in Social Work
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Experience working with children and families
  • Knowledge of child protection legislation and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Estimated Salary: £39 per hour
