Senior Practitioner for Complex Emotional and

The Complex Emotional and Relational Needs (CERN) team is looking for highly skilled and experienced Senior Practitioners to join our new service. Initially sitting within the Central East Manchester CMHT, the successful applicant will be part of an exciting new project to improve and expand services for people with CERN in the community, across the Manchester division of GMMH.
Successful applicants will join an optimistic and motivated team of practitioners, with a strong emphasis on training, supervision and support. This new team will be supported to develop and deliver trauma informed, co-produced person-centred care. Successful applicants will have a clinically-focussed role, delivering therapeutic evidence-based interventions to a small caseload of individuals with complex emotional and relational needs. They will provide compassionate leadership, support, consultation and supervision to multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams; and provide training to the wider teams and services.
Applicants should hold a professional qualification such as Registered Mental Health Nurse, Registered Social Worker, or Registered Occupational Therapist. Experience working in a Community Mental Health Team is desirable, though relevant experience in other clinical settings would be considered.
This exciting opportunity is for skilled and motivated practitioners to join a developing service for people with CERN.
Senior Practitioners will facilitate Structured Clinical Management (SCM) for a caseload of up to 12 individuals with CERN in the community. Training will be provided for the Senior Practitioners to deliver SCM, with opportunities to gain accreditation in this and other modalities such as Mentalization Based Therapy.
Senior practitioners will support the development of roles for people with lived experience to join the team as collaborators and co-producers of this new service.
Senior Practitioners will provide clinical leadership, consultation and supervision to colleagues in the CMHTs, Urgent Care teams, and wider services. They will promote inclusion, collaboration and optimism, and role model excellent clinical care. With support from the Clinical Lead, they will deliver training to colleagues and services across Manchester.
Senior Practitioners will be expected to participate in and facilitate individual and group clinical supervision, and take advantage of the development opportunities available.
There is a requirement to travel within the Manchester area and we support the use of sustainable alternatives to lone driving.
Senior Practitioners will be required to work Monday-Friday participate in the Bronze on call rota, providing clinical and operational leadership outside office hours including weekends and public holidays.
