Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at the University of Kent. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional food and beverage services to our students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Food and Beverage Manager in managing, developing, and motivating a dedicated team of hospitality professionals.
  • Ensure the efficient and effective operation of our food and beverage outlets, including stock and cash control, cost of sales, and labor management.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new menu concepts, promotions, and events to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Support the Food and Beverage Manager in maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and hygiene in all food and beverage operations.

Requirements:

  • Maths and English GCSE or equivalent, grades C/4 or above.
  • Experience of supervising bar and/or catering staff in a high-volume environment.
  • Experience of working with both an EPOS and Stock Management System, and solid IT skills.
  • Willingness to work flexibly.
