Pastoral Care Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Pastoral & Learning Support Assistant / Aspiring Youth Justice Worker to join our team at Academics Ltd, a specialist school near Guildford. The successful candidate will work with students who have social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, providing essential support and guidance.
About the RoleThis role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in a career in youth justice services, prison, rehabilitation, probation, or related fields. You will gain valuable experience working with vulnerable children, promoting engagement, attainment and life chances.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping children and young people achieve their full potential, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with students.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Pastoral & Learning Support Assistant / Aspiring Youth Justice Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing pastoral care and support to students with SEMH needs
- Developing and implementing strategies to promote student engagement and attainment
- Working collaboratively with the school team to provide holistic support to students
We offer a competitive daily rate of £80-£100 per day, PAYE, term time only, as well as excellent on-site training, support and CPD to ensure safeguarding of all students.
