Job Title: Loss Prevention Specialist

Huboo is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security and risk management team, you will play a crucial role in minimizing losses and ensuring the profitability of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement emergency crisis plans for sites within your area of responsibility.
  • Conduct risk assessments on client stock to identify and mitigate potential losses.
  • Collaborate with operations to establish proactive measures to minimize damage to client stock.
  • Work closely with the Stock Investigations team to investigate lost stock and identify root causes.
  • Liaise with local law enforcement agencies to ensure effective communication and cooperation.
  • Evaluate and enhance company policies to prioritize loss prevention and minimize risks.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with security and loss prevention protocols.
  • Interrogate stock systems to identify discrepancies and anomalies.
  • Generate reports and provide recommendations for risk mitigation and loss prevention.
  • Stay up-to-date with local and international security and loss prevention risks and threats.
  • Conduct interviews with colleagues and third parties to establish facts and gather evidence.
Requirements:
  • Experience in security and loss prevention, with a strong understanding of risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Knowledge of fire, intruder, access control, and CCTV systems, including design standards and usage.
  • Basic understanding of employment law, PACE, and GDPR.
  • Experience in detailed investigations and inventory system analysis.
  • Ability to conduct interviews and gather evidence in accordance with employment and criminal laws.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work with different systems and client requirements.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to produce detailed investigation reports and police documentation.
  • Experience working with law enforcement and emergency services.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Publisher software packages.
  • Strong reading, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively.
  • Confidence in communicating with colleagues and third parties, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Full driving license and access to transport.
