This is an exciting opportunity to work in a company at the forefront of technological change where you will be involved in everything from onsite installations and repairs to remote troubleshooting and customer support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend various customer sites across the UK to perform installations, repairs, surveys, and upgrades of equipment.
  • Answer technical queries via video conferencing platforms such as Teams.
  • Configure equipment and prepare media content using bespoke software tools.
  • Collaborate with sales, R&D, and production teams to resolve issues and improve product performance.
  • Provide first-line support on products, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Carry out site evaluations and offer suggestions for improvements.
  • Deliver training to customers on in-house software and hardware solutions.
  • Participate in team meetings and occasional travel to our head office in Lewes.
Requirements:
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility in problem-solving.
  • Experience in repairing electrical and electronic devices (soldering, cable repair, crimping).
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally abroad.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office packages.
  • Familiar with networking and serial protocols.
  • A well-organized approach to tasks with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable with overnight stays away from home when required.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with serial communication standards and protocols.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
  • Understanding of electrical and electronic system design (circuit diagrams, wiring).
  • Previous technical support experience especially in the public transport or manufacturing sectors.

The estimated salary for this position is £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
