About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team at East Sussex County Council. As a Support Specialist, you will work closely with clients in their own homes, providing personalized support to help them achieve their goals and regain independence.

Responsibilities

  • Providing support and assistance to clients in their daily lives, including personal care, household tasks, and social activities.
  • Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals, family members, and other support workers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Encouraging and empowering clients to take control of their lives, making informed decisions about their care and well-being.

Requirements

  • A caring and empathetic approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of £23,000 - £29,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location

This role is based in East Sussex, with regular travel across the county required. A driving license and access to a car are essential for this position.
