Your Role as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with a student who requires additional support in their daily school life. Your role will involve providing individualised assistance to help the student engage with learning activities, navigate their emotions, and follow a structured routine. You will also contribute to creating a safe and inclusive environment that allows students to feel comfortable and supported.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Help the student follow daily plans, adhering to structured timetables to build consistency and confidence.
  2. Provide one-to-one support to the student, helping them engage with learning activities and navigate their emotions.

We're looking for a dedicated and patient individual who is passionate about working with students with autism. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a genuine commitment to supporting young people with ASD. Enhanced DBS clearance and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being are also essential.
